Our Story
Collective Shoes began in 2017 with a simple idea: to bring premium footwear to New Zealanders at exceptional value. We started by selling excess stock and last pairs on Trade Me, helping customers discover quality brands at unbeatable prices.
As demand grew, we opened our very first store in Bishopdale, Christchurch, creating a space where customers could experience our carefully curated range in person.
In 2020, we took a major step forward by expanding our retail footprint and acquiring two Ziera stores in Albany, Auckland and Merivale, Christchurch. This marked the beginning of our journey from an online retailer into a trusted nationwide footwear destination.
When the world changed during COVID-19, so did we. We invested heavily in our online business, making it easier than ever for customers across New Zealand to shop from the comfort of their homes while continuing to receive the service and value we're known for.
To support our growing business, we moved into our Onehunga warehouse in 2021, strengthening our operations and enabling us to serve customers more efficiently.
Our continued growth led to another exciting milestone in 2026, when we relocated to a larger warehouse in Onehunga, complete with a new retail store at the front. This expansion allows us to offer an even wider selection of footwear while providing a better shopping experience both in-store and online.
Today, Collective Shoes proudly offers thousands of styles from leading local and international brands. While we've grown significantly since our Trade Me beginnings, our mission remains the same: to make quality footwear accessible, affordable, and enjoyable for every New Zealander.
